Facing Fire (92.7 The Planet Stage) - 10:30pm

Facing Fire is a hard rock band from southern Ohio.  Collectively, the members have been in multiple bands and played countless shows.  They officially formed as Facing Fire in late 2016 when vocalist Scott Artis, guitarist Tony Phillips, and bass player Josh Quillen began writing material together.  “We quickly knew we were on the right track as the music began to pour out of us,” Artis says.  Soon they had written enough to complete an EP and headed into the studio in early 2017.

After much anticipation, they released their first single, “Dying Inside,” May 5th.  “It is a straight up and in your face sound that has been received with open arms by all that have heard it (On Tour Monthly)”.  The band released a music video to go along with the single which received over 100 thousand views in the first two weeks of release.  After so much success with the first single, the band headed back to Nashville to put the finishing touches on their EP in early 2017.

The band then rounded out their lineup by adding Samuel Gibson on drums and began crafting their live show.  They are now in the process of completing a record deal to release the EP and have big things in store as their first single begins to pick up steam.

Red Sun Rising Band (92.7 The Planet Stage) - 10:30pm

Red Sun Rising—Mike Protich [vocals/guitar], Ryan Williams [guitar], Tyler Valendza [guitar], Ricky Miller [bass/vocals], and Pat Gerasia [drums]. —proudly carry on that tradition with their full-length debut, Polyester Zeal [Razor & Tie].
“It’s not today’s rock, but it’s a new alternative,” declares singer and guitarist Mike Protich. “We want to uphold the foundation with subtle nuances of what’s familiar. It’s fresh because we’re telling our story through that framework.”
Sharing that story has been the goal since first breaking onto the scene in 2012. Akron is no stranger to rock ‘n’ roll, serving as home to everybody from Black Keys and Devo to Chrissie Hynde. That buzzing industrial landscape remains fertile ground for musicians to this day.

Geneva (92.7 The Planet Stage) - 8:30pm

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee. Lead signer of her self-titled band ”GENEVA” she’s been touring motorcycle shows and bike rallies across America for over a decade.

In 2003 Geneva was the first band to play for our troups in the Middle East since the start of operation ”Iraqi Freedom”. When asked about her experiences after wrapping up a 27 day tour all she could say was how honored she felt to be the first choice of the USO and how appreciative the troops were overseas.

Returning to the States the Geneva performed at the world famous Buffalo Chip campgrounds in Sturgis SD at their annual Veterans memorial event. During the nine day event Geneva personally met with thousands of bikers and motorcyclists who welcomed her into their community with open arms… and a rock and roll motorcycle legend was born.

Drowning Pool (92.7 The Palnet Stage) - 10:30pm

Giant riffs, crowd moving grooves and monstrous vocals are the tools with which DROWNING POOL build triumph out of tragedy, steadily evolve without compromise, and remain true to their supporters with over a decade’s worth of remarkable fortitude and attitude. HELLELUJAH is absolutely the album their diehard fans demanded and the aggressive heavy rock world at large deserved.

The platinum-plus conquerors from The Lone Star State deliver their heaviest batch of hell raising anthems, each burning with fiery adrenaline destined to light the radio ablaze and ignite crowds into impassioned sing-alongs. Only a few seconds into the album’s first single, “By the Blood,” it’s evident that Hellelujah is the most aggressive, ambitious, and truly definitive Drowning Pool album since Sinner, the platinum platter that gave the world Top 20 rock radio hit “Tear Away” and the massively successful “Bodies.”
